Review by hotel critic
As an experienced archaeologist with a penchant for blending ancient history with modern comforts, my stay at the Cairo Marriott Hotel & Omar Khayyam Casino was a delightful mix of luxury and culture. the lush gardens surrounding the open-air restaurant provided a serene backdrop for breakfast and dinner, where the evening Jazz band entertained on select nights, adding a touch of sophistication to our dining experience. The spacious rooms with balconies overlooking the Nile River or the gardens were a welcome retreat after a day of exploring the cultural splendors of Zamalek. the attentive room service ensured our comfort, with freshly prepared snacks, hot drinks, and delicious shawarma available at the park. The hotel's prime location near Gabalaya Park, Cairo Tower, and Aquarium offered easy access to iconic landmarks, while the friendly and helpful staff made our stay truly memorable. We particularly enjoyed the inviting cigar lounge for relaxing with craft cocktails and tasty meals, immersing ourselves in the hotel's charming design and warm ambiance. For a taste of home, Harry's Pub, a British-inspired establishment, served exceptional snacks and drinks in a lively atmosphere. And when it came to dining, the steakhouse restaurant impressed with its farm-fresh sides and delectable desserts, elevating our culinary experience beyond expectations. Overall, Cairo Marriott Hotel & Omar Khayyam Casino provided a luxurious yet culturally enriching stay, where we were pampered with top-notch amenities, impeccable service, and a glimpse into Egypt's captivating history and contemporary charm.
